Hello blogosphere!
It's been a busy couple days (with no end to the busyness in sight!) I went on a spontaneous trip home for four days and had a really good time. Because it was spontaneous, I didn't really tell anyone I was around and got to spend some time visiting with family and hanging out with my parents. And, of course, being downtown for the hockey game. Big events like these are what makes me love my city- they had a big screen set up (with sound!) so everyone could watch the game. Everyone sat down pretty neatly and stood up to cheer and celebrate when the 'Nucks scored.... and within five minutes were sitting down again so not to block anyone's view. So Canadian <3
Before I left, I planted some household herbs for my kitchen...
And by the time I got back, things were already growing!
I was SO excited. A part of me was worried that I had somehow screwed up the planting process (I killed a cactus once and that experience has made me wary ever since...) but its working! It's really working! Well, the oregano and basil are. No word on the sweet peppers yet- but hey, its only day 5! I think I'm going to keep a bit of a log of my planting process in a segment I shall call PLANT WATCH 2011. Doesn't that just make it sound so much more interesting!? Ha, I think so.
in much more serious news, I'm in the process of finding a new place to live for July and it isn't going so well. It's just been dud after dud after dud. This discouraging trend, however, hasn't curbed my enthusiasm for packing and even though I have 2 and a half weeks before I actually need to "vacant the premises" I am getting a jump start on packing the non-essentials. You know, the books I couldn't sell from last semester, movies I won't watch/or if I have a hankering to watch can stream online. I like packing so much that I am a little bit concerned that I'm going to overpack and live in an empty room for the 2 weeks before I leave. Eek! Such strange problems I have.
I also picked my schedule for MY VERY LAST YEAR OF MY UNDERGRAD. And I am super excited about all the classes I picked. i register on the 24th of June. :)
That, and I am actually still enrolled in classes and need to be reading right now!
See you tomorrow!
