another birthday card

So it's my friends birthday tomorrow and I made her a card . . . it was kinda rushed but I had this amazing idea in my head then it just never came out the way I planned. She's studying to be a personal trainer hence the physically active person and the card is in the shape of Australia. Why? because she and I and my sister plan on moving to Australia in a couple years for AT LEAST a year. You have NO idea how excited we are about it.

I keep looking around my room thinking "what can I take and what do I leave" I gotta start downsizing. Don't get me wrong it's a TERRIFYING thought completely moving my life to another continent let alone another city but it's also the thought of starting over somewhere else. We get so accustomed and attached to THINGS that knowing I can't take everything with me will force me to throw out what I REALLY don't need and really should have thrown out a long time ago.

Until then we will all be saving money like crazy. I keep calculating things in my head and I have to not do all this random spending. I know WHAT I need and what I really don't need to be spending money on. Also by then Meshe will be done school, Emma will be done school and I will be a certified yoga teacher :) (school starts in the fall I'm psyched for that)

Emma knows someone who owns a place in Perth that is apparently empty a lot of the time hopefully it'll be still available before we go. ALSO David Suzuki has a home in Australia it's not random he's Emma uncle. YEAH I KNOW RIGHT?! And his wife (her mom's cousin) said she's always welcome to come visit.

Though I'd shove in a belated Manic Monday in there for old time sake. New sweater from Winners. (no more pointless random expensive trips to Winners anymore)

3. I've been asked to be apart of this sketch comedy group that's actually gonna film. So I get to write act and show some musical talent. awesome? i think so

It's been a while . . .

What was going on? I have no idea. i was away one monday and was not using the internet and then I forgot the next two mondays . . . oops.

OOH I went to see roller derby on saturday night a double header championships game. It was soo much fun even though I went by myself. I've decided I am going to give roller derby a try lifes to short not to try things you want to .

ALSO on a somewhat exciting note WHILE I was away in Powell River visiting my mom for a few days I got an email from a couple of guys who were looking for a singer for their "dreampop" group (I know it sounds weird but they have a really good sound that I liked) they sent me a demo of one of their songs asking for a vocal and lyric demo which I did and sent it back and they LOVED it bbuuuuttt they had also got a number of responses to their ad on craigslist (thats how they found me through MY ad) and were listening to other people and was supposedly suppose to be making a decision this weekend and I haven't heard back hopefully they haven't decided yet. I also got another offer from a friend at work to be in this comedy thing. I'm not too sure about the details but it sounds pretty amazing and exciting.

I just remembered

I was just about to go to bed and I remembered what I forgot to do. I get side tracked pretty darn easily. Yea there's a ribbon on my wrist I wore it all day at work and no one said anything and I forgot to take it off for this picture.

I'M SORRY SORRY

I Had a legit reason for no manic monday yesterday and I was so excited too cause I didn't work and I thought I'd have it up early. My internet was just not working. In the morning it was fine and then i went grocery shopping and came back and IT WASN'T WORKING!

So yesterday was a gorgeous day even though I ended up staying inside most of the time . . . I know I know what was I thinking.

Happy Manic Monday!

Though today was rather bleek I was in a REALLY good mood today . . . well I pretty good mood. I've been in a pretty good mood lately. I think its because I've finally settled down and have nothing to stress about. So what has happened since last Monday?

1. I started recording in the studio again :D pretty much done 1 of 6 songs

2. I emailed my dance teacher about there being more (contemporary dance) classes cuz the summer session is done this week and I didn't like the fact that they were and she said there will be more in september and that "you're making awesome progress by the way - you're a natural" that just about made my year! I know I'm lame

3. hmm . . . can't think of anything.

Ok so I told you before that at work we have purple mondays and I wasn't going along with it for a while cuz who wants to see me wear purple every monday? I don't! I didn't really wanna wear these today but I was compromising with Daria.

Dunno if you can see it but I'm wearing a braided head band that looks like its part of my hair. I got it a while back but never wore it until now!

New necklace I got from H&M . . . yesterday? yea! yesterday just before ballet class where I witness my teacher and the pianist have a shouting matching over us going 5 mins over class . . . the pianist wanted to leave it REALLY wasn't a big deal. Anyways off topic I am. The lacy part is just my bra :P

Oh i decided to try to do another music project where I'd post a song on youtube every Thursday but I need a cool name for it . . . like some kind of cool alliteration . . . It'll come to me eventually. Or maybe sunday cause thursdays and sundays are my days off.

Ok I gotta leave for hip hop soonish . . . this time its more fun though I'm still pretty white when I dance. My sister said I looked like a dancer trying to do hip hop. At least I looked like a dancer.

Manic Monday

Today isn't very exciting I apologize
this shirt use to be Meshe's she gave it to me a LONG time ago and it was packed away in a suitcase of clothes I had. It wasn't a very exciting day either...



On the weekend however I went to a wedding reception for someone I don't know . . . a friend of a friend who THEY hadn't even seen for 4 years. It was cute all these young people getting married . . . kinda depressing. I wore a polka dress I wore once for new years. I stole Meshe's necklace . . . she wasn't here :P

Best. Day. Ever.

It's a beautiful sunny day so warm out. Finally summer is here.

and why is it the best day ever? after almost a MONTH because of the damn postal strike I GOT MY LONGBOARD. Isn't it beautiful? I'm gonna try it out later when there isn't a whole bunch of people around to watch me fall. :) sooo exciting but now that I've got it I'm a little reluctant and self conscious about going out and riding it. I do feel cool walking around with it though hahah.


I really thought I had more to say . . . but I guess not eh . . . hmm

New Place . . .

So I just got from seeing Friends With Benefits (which once again proves that THAT DOESNT WORK . . .fuck my dreams are shattered) lets just say Justin Timberlake is my all time MAJOR celebrity crush who I will marry eventually once I get my foot in that industry's door. Mila Kunis is GORGEOUS.

Anywho that is not the reason for the post. It is MANIC MONDAY YAY YAY YAY.


Its not that exciting what is MORE exciting is that I'VE MOVED!!!! New place in a Vancouver special it's awesome. White walls EVERYWHERE just waiting for my artistic mind to create something amazing . . . I got nothing so far . . . but things are definitely looking up I have yet to unpack BUT i have thursday, friday, saturday AND sunday WHOOO but I get paid for the friday holiday so its like I only take one day off this week WHOOO (oh Jen stop being a whoo girl). Bring on the yoga, unpacking, yoga, yoga and july is the start of being healthy again. DAMN playoffs! also I didn't want to cook anything at the other house cause of the ants . . UGH. Now that along with the running children above my head have CEASED thank you Beatles (they are my God - that was lame . . . shut up)

SOOOO excited for my new place and the endless possibilities of artistry. Can't repeat that enough.

My Manic Monday: Plain Jane but Life is Good

So I set my alarm for 5am but I woke up at 4:22 and I thought to myself "what a wonderful world" no just kidding. I thought, there's no point in going back to bed so I got up.


The past few weeks I've been stressing out about a few things but now all these things have come together and life be good (bad grammar on purpose Julzy)
1. me and my sister found a place to life for july we can even move in BEFORE hand. Got the keys yesterday.
2. Hockey playoffs are over even though the end results were not very satisfying . . . yes I cried. I cried like a little girl and I'm not a ashamed.
3. MY LONGBOARD is on it's way . . . I've always wanted to longboard but I'm finally doing something about that
4. Certain situations that were troubling me I've worked out by asking questions though I did do something pretty stupid last night that is sorta making me paranoid which there is probably no need for.
5. . . is there a 5? I don' think so . . .
I didn't feel like being all dressy (not that I usually am) or cute plus most of my nicer things are packed away already.
This is my sisters Hey Rosetta tee she didn't want so she gave it to me :) There's no point in showing the bottom half of me cause you already know what I'm wearing down there . . . leggings.

What else is new? hmmm saw X-Men First Class yesterday with my sister. SO GOOD made up for the fuck up they made of X-Men the last stand and the Wolverine movie. ALSO James McAvoy is a babe!

So the last time the Canucks made it to the stanley cup finally i believe i was 7 and didn't really care well i don't even remember it but now . . . oh my god is all I can say. It's actually screwing up my work out schedule cause I cannot miss a game. ALSO tonight's game determines whether or no I go visit Julz in Victoria. I do NOT want to be in Victoria for the cup game I am gonna be down town vancouver soaking in the glory with all the other vancouverites. I'm so pumped for tonight's game. My Manic Monday

So TWO new things part of this weeks manic monday.
1)NEW HAIRCUT! people seem to like it I am still getting use to it. Someone told me that it usually takes two weeks to get use to a new haircut. . .I dunno where he heard that.
