Wardrobe Remix

Sooo, as I've said I've been super busy lately and haven't been able to get down to any crafty-goodness. Instead, I've been channeling my creativity into my outfits, which works really well for the What I Wore Wednesday features, but doesn't do much for any other posts.
This is my attempt at a fashion post, a fashion remix, if you will, of this dress that tragically shrunk in the wash(hence the slip underneath in the first photo) REMIXED into a skirt for a night on the town. (I just folded the top bit down, no scissors needed!)
That's all, I think I'll probably be doing a post of some stuff I found on a thrifting adventure I went on a couple of weeks ago. And, of course, tomorrow's What I Wore Wednesday! I can't promise much, I'm dedicating my day to the library!

Alright I'm Back . . .

My night in a nutshell. . . my friend Daria's little boy, Diego loved the pumpkin chocolate chip cookies I made for halloween last year and kept asking when I'd make them again. . .

There was a big can of pumpkin . . .uh stuff so I made pumpkin bread too.


For dinner. . . Broccoli and Tofu stir fry with rice. yum


then I watched Wild Target with the very funny Bill Nighy, the adorable Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley from Harry Potter) and the gorgeous Emily Blunt.

Not Very Exciting Manic Monday

It won't happen again . . . it's just I was really out of it last night and today sorta you'll see why. I didn't even think of what to wear last night I just wanted something comfortable to wear.

My roommate made me this hat for my birthday which was saturday HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME! Her boyfriend said "she's just gonna wash it and shrink it" which is what i did last time she made me a hat but i didn't know it was going to shrink! I learned my lesson hahah


So Saturday was a pretty great day . . . I worked people asked me "why you working on your birthday?" WHAT ELSE AM I GONNA DO plus everyone was soo nice to me I got to listen to the Beatles all day. Then after work me and a few friends went to the legion across the street for a few drinks then to my friend, Daria's house for more drinks food and karaoke. Her little boy sang his little heart out and love it, it was ADORABLE. Though my night ended in a headache and I was in bed by 1030 which was fine I had ballet the next morning.

this one was 3 years in the making . . . the design changed a few times (it's part of the lyrics to hey jude in case you didn't know and if you know me I would be very disappointed in you) anywho the original design started with vines but that was too complicated and you wouldn't be able to read the words but I finally decided that I wanted it done in John Lennon's handwriting. McCartney's word in Lennon's handwriting . . . I thought it was fitting.

Let me tell you this one hurt (well it was bigger) but as he got closer to the bottom it was quite painful but worth it of course. Every time I'd think he was done I heard that drilling sound. You can't really tell from the picture but it is on the left side of my back.


It's been an uncomfortable day as it is still healing and I can't really do anything bendy (that means yoga's out for the next few days :( thats ok....) It's definitely improving my posture though.

What I Wore Wednesday Number Seven

Aaaannd, the dance pictures are back! I realize that this shot doesn't really display any of my outfit, but that's what you get when your friend is too lazy to get up and take your picture and decides a fair compromise is to make homemade beats to dance to for your pictures. It doesn't really work.


It's a little slushy over here mudwise, so the boots were a must, and in the scramble of leaving for school in the wee hours of the morning (Yeah, yeah, I know, 8:52 bus is NOT that treacherous), I couldn't find the socks I wanted to wear with the tights. But alas, alack!

Anyway, I have papers to write and friends to entertain!
I also thought I'd throw in a picture from my weekend, like I did last week. It can be my justification for lack of craftiness as of late. That, or I can just remind y'all that it's the last month before finals of the semester and I'm up to my ears in papers. 45 pages worth of essay needs to be done in the next two and a half weeks! Not a good time.

This, however, was a good time.

It's no secret . . .

that i love to bake now is it? no.
today on the menu I made a modified version of a mango bread recipe I found online. . . I call it my Mango-Apple Chocolate Chip Walnut Loaf (mouth full ain't it)
the reason it's "modified" is because I didn't have enough mango I was suppose to have 2 1/2 cup of mango pulp. I blended the one mango I had with an apple and some water still didn't come to even 2 cups but it turned out alright.


Mmmmmm...


Warm and with a little butter (not real butter of course)


alright 3 posted back to back? I'd say that's a record for me. Looking forward to What I Wore Wednesday? So am I. Can't keep hogging all the blog space now can I?

My March Manic Monday

First manic monday for March yay!
So today was a pretty good day. The sun is beautifully shining today so i'm enjoying it while it lasts cause it's suppose to rain for the next few days what do you expect from Vancouver. I kid . . . .Vancouver, I Love You.
Ok today . . . I wore a extra large green sweater I got a value village sometime last year which I'm wearing for the first time.



I got this necklace . . . hmmm I THINK at value village (are you surprised) I use to get a lot of stuff at value village I don't seem to shop there much anymore . . . it's just not fun anymore (maybe cause Julz isn't with me)


It had a low front and low back which showed off my tattoo quite nicely I might add.
