Ello ello.
Me again (!) I went for my grocery shop for the week, and am really excited about some of the stuff I have planned to eat this week, so there just might be an influx of food posts from me this week! Today I made some peanut butter-chocolate-oat bars made in the microwave!
Sounds weird, but they actually came out pretty nice, and give me just that bit of chocolate I need while sitting up all hours of the night writing papers!
Directions, in pictures...
Ingredients-pictured: 1/2 cup of chocolate chips, 1/2 cup of peanut butter and 1 cup of rolled oats plus some milk (I used rice milk, because that's what was on hand; 2 tablespoons) and one teaspoon vanilla extract.
If you're looking at this thinking, "That looks like more than 1/2 cup of chocolate chips", you'd be right. There is more than half a cup, I like to snack while I make stuff! That, and I get overzealous in the bulk section at the grocery store. Mainly that second one, actually.
Step One: Mix everything except the oats in a microwave-safe bowl.
Step Two: Put in the microwave for 30 second increments until melty and mixed.
Step Three: Add oats.
Step Four: Spread onto a pan. Refrigerate for 10-15 minutes. I left it in for 30 minutes because I forgot about it, but it was all good.
Step Five: Enjoy!
